I have to say that after 7 years of hearing about Vancouver hosting the 2010 Olympic Winter Games (and working on quite a few fashion related Olympic projects in the years leading up to the event) I'm a little sad to not be in the city while the games are in progress. Last night we watched the opening ceremonies and while the Canadiana was overtly cliche I spent a good portion of the show missing home. My mom sent me some pictures showing me how downtown has been transformed and wrote that the city is buzzing with happy (and a few unhappy) people.
