Walking through Gastown the other day I stumbled into the lovely shop Oak + Fort. Filled with slouchy silhouettes, a gorgeous neutral palette and just right accessories I can only hope they open another location in Toronto. Pretty please?

Two years ago V promised me a serger for my birthday - I just got it yesterday.

It was worth the wait.

TANENBAUM

I am a huge sucker for Christmas but for the last few years we haven't bothered with a tree since at least one of us has been traveling over the holiday season. This year we decided to take the plunge and purchased a tiny potted tree that fills me with joy every time I turn it on.

NYC

The One of a Kind show wrapped up on Sunday and V and I rewarded ourselves with a short trip to New York. We managed to visit during some seriously rainy weather but as a result rediscovered the city for all of it's indoor potential. When was the last time you spent an entire day in the Natural History Museum?

We saw friends, ate great food, stayed in the world's smallest hotel room, fondled fabrics (thanks for the great tip Jenny!) and came home happy.

SHIPPING DEADLINES

Just a reminder to all of my US customers - today is the last day to place an order with regular shipping rates that will reach you by the 25th. We will be out of the studio for the next few days so any order placed after 7pm EST tonight will not ship until December 12th. We are happy to arrange faster (though more expensive) shipping to those that miss the deadline.

Canadian customers - you have until December 13th to place your orders.

I've listed a few winter wool items we picked up in Mexico awhile back in the shop. There are only a couple of each style so get them while you can!

If you live in LA you can now purchase Scout & Catalogue goodies at the new Echo Park boutique Myrtle which is opening today! The store carries work from independent female designers (S&C is in some seriously good company) and was featured (as well as our clutches) in Refinery 29 today.
And don't forget Handmade Holiday goes live today! Your chance to snatch up your S&C silk turbans* and other wonderful gifts from some amazing handmade artists.
*When purchasing a headband please take the time to measure the circumference of your head as they are NOT one size fits all. If the response for these is good I'll be producing colours in distinct sizes for the Spring 2012 season.

OUR BOOTH

We're half way through the One of a Kind show! Thanks to everyone that has visited (and purchased) so far. It's so great to meet people that follow the blog or have S&C items lurking in their closets. The show runs until this Sunday and is open until 11pm on December 1st. Make sure to come visit!

A PAUSE

The blog will be pretty quiet as I spend the next 11 days at the One of a Kind show meeting S&C customers that live in the Toronto area. Come on by if you can - we're at booth G44.
