PORTLAND

Portland did not disappoint - from the gorgeous neighborhoods and multitude of vintage shops to the fantastic coffee, beer and delicious food. We spent most of our time on the east side of town managing to visit classics like Stumptown Coffee, Powell's Books, Hippo's Hardware, McMenamins Kennedy School and Schoolhouse Electric but also managing to visit some lesser known gems - Nationale, Sword + Fern, Palace and Smut. We spent a day biking around the south-east end of the city and fantasized about living in almost every house we passed...

SHIBORI RECREATED

Just over a year ago we were contacted to take part in a book collecting stories of artists that use ancient dye techniques in their contemporary work. Shibori Recreated is the result and is filled with beautiful examples of hand dyed textiles from all over the world - we're honored to be included.

PORTLAND BOUND

V has been doing a lot of amazing travel without me (Chile, Germany, Mexico) but today, lucky me, we leave on a trip together to Portland. Despite both growing up in Vancouver we have never been and are excited to check out the city, visit good friends and escape this heat wave for a few days.


The online shops are still open with all orders being processed on July 21st.

A few things around here:


The last time we were in Oaxaca I took this palm tree photo just across the way from a sweet country church. Since getting it developed I've been using it all over the place including my new hangtags and business cards. Maybe not the most appropriate 'Fall/Winter' marketing decision but inspired by Mexico none the less.


Getting crystal shipments in the mail always makes me smile.


This past weekend we were excited to see our Constellation Clutch featured in The Globe & Mail - one of Canada's national (and most prominent) papers.
