'A place for everything and everything in its place' has never really resonated with me. While I wouldn't categorize myself as a messy person (am a strict morning bed maker) I am definitely comfortable with a bit of clutter (much to V's despair). Case in point - my studs. Back in November I purchased about 20,000 studs in order to make a ton of cushions for the Good Things Collection and the remainder have been sitting in 2 big bags ever since. I've been using studs with everything for Scout & Catalogue and so now I am in a situation where not only is it difficult to find what I am looking for (studs in bag are jammed in with zero organization) I am beginning to worry that my favourite stud sizes may soon be running out. Solution - inventory count and STUD CARD! I spent a brief half hour last night making myself a stud card - an act that I'd been putting off for months. I love it! I now know exactly what studs I have and what they look like all in one place. AND if i find a stud on the floor (or lodged into V's bare foot while he is screaming in pain) I can just hold it up to my stud card and know exactly which bag it belongs in.
