Puerto Vallarta is a town built for tourists and as such most of the restaurants and bars are over the top in terms of decor and lacking in terms of cuisine. Thank god for Cafe Candela, a little outdoor lounge that caters to a young, local crowd (a demographic I did not think existed here!). The atmosphere is laid back, the drinks are affordable and the food is amazing. We had the blue cheese and pear pizza and nearly lost our minds.

Definitely a place to head to if you're ever in Puerto Vallarta.
