My mom was in town this weekend visiting and we spent all day yesterday on the Toronto Islands. Most visitors to Toronto don't know about the islands which feel like a completely different world from the urban sprawl of the city. A short boat ride takes you from downtown Toronto to a group of islands covered in tiny cottages, sandy beaches and sprawling parkland. We spent the day discovering the terrain on our bikes - the perfect lazy Sunday.
