Because we moved from Mexico to Canada in a teeny Volkswagen we have almost no furniture and, as we look forward to leaving our summer sublet and moving into our new place, we are also a tad bit worried about how empty the new apartment will be. We want to furnish the place slowly and with consideration both to making the place look great and to our wallets. Yesterday we picked up our first big ticket item - big more in size than in price. We drove across town to pick up a 9 foot by 12 foot Kilim rug that will hopefully make our huge new living room feel cozy for the many months that we will not have proper furniture. Exciting!
