No trip is ever complete without the little souvenirs you bring home with you and this past visit to Mexico was no exception. I even had the foresight to bring an extra duffel bag for the return journey and man did we make use of it.
1) I brought home rolls of fabric (the top 2 will be VERY limited edition and those who make it to the One of a Kind show this month will have first dibs) and have my eye on some fabulous Mexican textiles that hopefully I can track down and include in the summer collection.
2) Most of our days on the beach were spent out of the water (it was a bit too cold) and I busied myself collecting shells to bring home.
3) I have wanted one of these leather and woven bags since I first landed in Mexico but never took the plunge. This time I scooped up a teeny bucket bag that I'm hoping will be a constant accessory this summer.
4) V's mother gave me this AMAZING antique candle holder and stand that I am totally in love with. It was a nightmare to get home. I'm still looking around for candles that fit perfectly...
5) And finally, since it was my birthday, I received a bit of money that my family stressed I was ONLY allowed to buy something nice with. This past weekend, after a belated birthday brunch with a friend, I managed to buy a few new tops - all in nude pink or oatmeal. The jeans were a major score at $10 and are perfectly high waisted and worn in. Can't wait for this snow to melt and Spring to arrive!
