I am the first to admit that since returning to Canada the photo's for Scout & Catalogue have been a little lackluster. I blame this mostly on our summer sublet which was incredibly unphotogenic and had almost no natural light but I also feel as though in this transition from Mexico to Canada I lost a little bit of what Scout & Catalogue stands for and its reflected in the haphazard marketing for the brand.
Now that we have moved into our new apartment and I am no longer sewing in someone's kitchen I am excited to get S&C back up and running with a clear concise direction and will be spending some time shooting my product to reflect our new surroundings. Above are some inspiration photos for my fall shoot - we'll see how it goes.
On a side note: I think I need to update my camera as I currently shoot with a cheap canon point and shoot that doesn't let me manually control anything. I have a lovely old manual camera but it only shoots film and some friends recommended that I buy a Canon G11 which is technically a point and shoot but gives you almost all of the freedom of a digital SLR without the cost. At $450 this seems like an awesome way to go but I was wondering if anyone had any other camera suggestions before I invest?
