A few weeks ago was the hottest day that anyone could remember in the last 50 years. Since we don't have AC in our house we decided to spend as much time as possible in our gloriously air conditioned car and headed an hour and a half out of the city to a small town called Orono. Orono has a bit of a reputation for antiques and we spent a pleasant afternoon poking around the shops leaving with a completely unused Champion juicer (if you were raised by hippies in the 70's/80's as we were you will understand the significance of this purchase!) and an old fan that's been helping keep my studio cool ever since. Capped off with a vanilla milkshake and our day trip was not too shabby...
