Part 3 - July, August, September 2010
The third part of 2010 was a time of great change. We chose to leave Mexico, but instead of returning to our hometown of Vancouver, we packed everything we owned into our tiny Volkswagen and headed up to Toronto. While we missed our country we were not quite ready to stop exploring. Two weeks in a car, we soaked up the great Mexican city Guadalajara one last time, discovered Austin and New Orleans and bisected the US during tornado season.
Once in Canada I was surprised by how long it took me to recover from the culture shock of being home and I struggled with how to make Scout & Catalogue relevant. We met new people, biked everywhere and constantly commented on the expense of everything. We found a place to call home and slowly settled in to our new life.
I enjoyed speaking English to everyone we met.
